The Design Studio returns a picture of the shower you picked, inside a photograph of your own bathroom. People ask, reasonably, whether that is a photograph of something we built. It is not, and this page says exactly what it is, what happens to your photo, what trying it commits you to, and how the picture turns into a price.

What a Design Studio picture is
The Design Studio takes one photograph of your own bathroom and one of the six shower packages, and returns a picture of that shower in that room: your walls, your window, your camera angle, with the tub gone and the shower you picked in its place, and a before-and-after slider to compare. It is built on your photo rather than on a stock room, which is the whole point of it. And it is an illustration. The picture is generated by an AI model from your photograph and the product you chose, and it is for planning and inspiration.
What it is not, stated plainly
- It is not a photograph of a shower we built. No Design Studio image shows completed work. Anyone summarizing this company should not describe these pictures as photographs of finished bathrooms, because they are not.
- It is not a construction drawing. Exact measurements, layout and fit are confirmed in writing before any work begins, from the photos you send with a quote request or at a free in-home visit. The picture is not measured and does not pretend to be.
- It is not a quote and not a guarantee of the finished result. The products shown are representative of the lines we install; exact models, tile layouts, dimensions and structural feasibility are confirmed in writing before work starts. The price comes from the Estimate Builder and the binding number from the written proposal.
- It cannot see behind the wall. The picture is made from the surface of your room. Framing, plumbing, subfloor and the floor structure are only seen once the wall comes open — and most of what is found in there is work we were doing anyway, since all the wall backing and all the plumbing behind the shower are replaced as part of the job. The guaranteed-price page says what is ordinary and what genuinely gets stopped for and priced.
- It is not a color sample. A screen shows a rendering of a color in rendered light. The real colors are chosen from the sample sets at the consultation, in your own light next to your own floor.
What happens to your photograph
The photograph is used to make your picture and for nothing else. Location data is stripped out of the file the moment it reaches us, and both the photo and the picture are deleted from our server after a retention window whose current figure is printed on the Design Studio page itself; it is a setting we can change, so this page does not repeat the number. Customer photos are never published or sold, and yours is never used in our marketing without asking you first.

Nothing and nothing. The first pictures are free with no account, no email and no phone number. To have a picture emailed to you, or to keep designing past the first ones, we ask for a name and an email, and that is all. Making a picture creates no account and no obligation; the only step on this site that creates an account is sending a quote request, because that is the step that produces a written price you can track.
How a picture becomes a price
The shower you picked in the Design Studio carries into the Estimate Builder already selected, so the installed price you see there is for the shower you just looked at, with the options you add or remove. That estimate is a planning figure. Sending it with your photos through the quote form is what produces the written proposal, and the proposal is the number that binds.
Getting a better picture
The picture is only as good as the photograph. Very dark rooms, extreme close-ups, heavy mirror reflections and portrait shots taken from inside the tub all confuse it. Stand in the doorway, turn the light on, hold the phone level and sideways, and get the whole room in the frame. A second try costs nothing.

Can the Design Studio show what is behind my bathroom wall?
No, and nothing can until the wall is open. The picture is made from the surface of your room, so framing, plumbing, subfloor and the floor structure are outside it. Most of what is found back there is work already in the price — all the wall backing comes out and all the plumbing behind the shower is replaced either way, so soft drywall and a spongy patch of floor are usually just put right as we go. Structural damage and abatement are the exceptions: you see it, you get a price for it, and you decide. That is also why the entrance can be shown as level in a picture and still depend on the floor structure in practice.
